The Applied Jungian Academy

The Applied Jungian Academy (AJA) is the Centre of Applied Jungian Studies (CAJS) newest offering and is a subscription based, online learning platform that grants students access to three learning pathways: Featured courses, Jungian Fundamentals and Live Sessions/Events.

Traditionally, CAJS has hosted exclusively live courses. These bespoke programmes generated a wealth of material in the form of lectures, workshops and applications that, once completed, were archived. The AJA platform was created in response to this, as a means of allowing students access to the Centres most influential and acclaimed historical courses, within the ambit and context of an international collegial community of fellow Jungian students and practitioners.

Live Sessions

Connect in real time through Live Sessions, featuring twice-monthly Zoom groups: a Primary Readings discussion circle focused on Jung’s own texts, and a Dream Circle exploring symbolic and unconscious material through dreams. Additional guest-led workshops and community sessions will be added later. These live events are where dialogue, exploration, and learning come to life.

Jungian Fundamentals

The Jungian Fundamentals pathway offers essential grounding in Applied Jungian Studies. These core courses — Jung Unplugged and CLP—introduce foundational concepts, frameworks, and psychological tools for understanding Jung's model of the psyche. Ideal for newcomers and those seeking to deepen their grasp of the basics.

Featured Courses

Every three months, the Academy spotlights a new set of Featured Courses across three learning pathways:

  • Art Pathway – exploring the intersection of Jungian theory with creative expression.
  • Mysterium Pathway – diving into esoteric, symbolic, and archetypal dimensions of Jung’s work.
  • Accredited Pathway – offering CPD-certified courses for professional development.

After three months, our featured courses move into a 'Previously Featured' section where you can still access the materials for a further three months meaning that each course will be hosted on the Academy for a total of 6 months

Facilitation on the forum will always focus on currently featured courses

Previously Featured Courses

These course are from our previous featured cycle and will remain available until November 10th after which they will be removed from the Applied Jungian Academy.

These course are not currently facilitated on any AJA forums.

What AJA Subscribers are Saying:

I'm really enjoying taking the courses this way. I like being able to dip in and out according to time and interest

Having completed this (Clinical Concepts) course, wanted to express what a great compilation of material it represented and how thought-provoking and practically useful the applications were from the perspective of a practitioner (I'm a Jungian coach). It has definitely given me some new perspectives in relation to meaningful and engaging work with clients. I recommend it whole-heartedly for anyone that works with people in a context where Jungian theory is concerned.

Such an amazing talk, I was entranced by all of Craig's words and it continues to reverberate today. As I walked today I felt my personal myth coming alive, it has been there a long time but I have not really recognised her. Thank you
~ YD
I also found the dream circle incredibly illuminating. Thank you Byron Gaist for creating and running it. I really hope I will be able to attend them fairly regularly.
~ JM
Appreciate having access to such high-quality resources. The lecture by Cyril Coetzee is absolutely brilliant. I will definitely watch it again to absorb and savour every morsel. I thoroughly enjoyed this process and am now wondering which course to tackle next.
~ DD
I really enjoyed the lecture and Roderick Main’s article on Myth, Synchronicity, and Re-Enchantment. I had previously only a superficial understanding of Jung’s idea of synchronicity, but Dr. Main’s paper—and a subsequent, stunning synchronistic experience—helped connect many dots for me, both theoretically and experientially.

I’m very pleased that we’ll be reading and discussing Analytical Psychology (In the Reading and Amplification Group).  The discussion was great!  I am happy to be here.
~ SM

I have enjoyed the (featured) course Art of Individuation: Expression and Desire, and the ongoing process.
~ MC
I truly enjoyed last night's zoom. Jung became almost like an obsession to me, and it is amazing how fast it is transforming my life as you shared in the session.  I am happy to be part of this community.  .
